Producer & Winemaker
Since 2004, Thomas Duroux has led Château Palmer as General Manager, overseeing both vineyard management and winemaking processes.

The estate encompasses 66 hectares of gravelly soils, planted with:
• 47% Cabernet Sauvignon

• 6% Petit Verdot
This diverse planting allows for complex and balanced blends.
The Wine
Alter Ego de Palmer 2013 is crafted to be more approachable in its youth compared to the Grand Vin, emphasizing fresh fruit flavors and supple tannins.
Vintage
The 2013 vintage presented challenges, including a damp winter and a delayed growing season. Despite these conditions, careful vineyard management led to a wine with notable freshness and aromatic qualities.
ABV%
The alcohol by volume is 13%.
Vinification and Aging Method
The wine underwent fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, followed by aging in French oak barrels, with a lower proportion of new oak to preserve its fruit-forward character.

The blend consists of:
• 46% Merlot
• 46% Cabernet Sauvignon
• 8% Petit Verdot
