Winery Background & History

Château Batailley, one of the oldest estates in Pauillac, derives its name from a battle (“bataille”) fought on its grounds during the Hundred Years’ War. Classified as a Fifth Growth in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, the estate has a rich history of producing esteemed wines.
