Clos du Marquis was established in 1902, named after the “Petit Clos,” which once served as the residence of the Marquis de Las Cases. The wine originates from Saint-Julien on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, using top-quality parcels that lie outside the historical Léoville estates.
Producer & Winemaker
Clos du Marquis is managed by the Domaines Delon, a family renowned for their expertise in Bordeaux winemaking, with holdings in several prestigious châteaux.
Vineyard
The vineyard is located in the Saint-Julien appellation and is surrounded by renowned classified growths, such as Léoville Poyferré and Léoville Barton. The soils are gravelly, providing excellent drainage and conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon.
