Vineyards and Micro Climate

The Privada Family Blend is sourced from Bodega Norton’s oldest vineyards in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. The region’s high-altitude vineyards benefit from a cool climate, with temperatures ranging from hot days to cool nights, promoting slow ripening and complex flavor development. The soils are well-drained, with a mix of sand and gravel, providing ideal conditions for cultivating Malbec, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. 

Vinification & Aging Methods

Grapes are hand-harvested from 50 to 90-year-old vines, ensuring optimal fruit quality. The wine undergoes fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve fresh fruit aromas. Post-fermentation, the blend is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, which imparts subtle spice and vanilla notes, enhancing the wine’s complexity and elegance.

The 2022 Norton Privada Family Blend exhibits a deep red color with rich blackberry aromas complemented by hints of spice and subtle oak. On the palate, it is full-bodied with a smooth, elegant mouthfeel, offering flavors of ripe black fruits, balanced acidity, and a lingering, harmonious finish.
