The wine is then aged in a combination of small barriques and large 50-hectoliter oak casks, with the proportion varying depending on the vintage characteristics. This approach aims to enhance the varietal expression of Nebbiolo while imparting subtle oak influences.

Tasting Notes

The 2019 Barbaresco Nubiola displays an intense ruby red color. On the palate, it is taut and lightly sinewy, with grainy tannins providing structure. Flavors of cherry, plum, and tobacco persist, leading to a lasting impression of fruit and savoriness.
