Vineyards and Microclimate

The Kiedrich Turmberg vineyard is characterized by deep and medium-deep, stony, fragmented phyllite soils partially mixed with loess and loam, with a southwest exposure. The vineyard’s steep slopes and optimal sun exposure create a microclimate that fosters the cultivation of high-quality Riesling grapes.

The Robert Weil Kiedrich Turmberg Riesling Sekt Brut Nature 2017 is crafted using the traditional method (Méthode Champenoise). This involves a secondary fermentation in the bottle, followed by an extended maturation on the lees for a minimum of 48 to 72 months. This prolonged lees aging enhances the wine’s complexity, imparts a fine mousse, and contributes to its rich texture while preserving the elegance and freshness characteristic of Riesling.
